Connections That Count: Meet the West Carleton Dental Group
There are some relationships in life that go beyond the surface. They start with a service and grow into something deeper, rooted in trust, kindness, and community. One such relationship for me has been with the incredible team at West Carleton Dental Group. Now celebrating their 51st year, this dental practice is more than just a place to get your teeth cleaned—it’s a reflection of values that matter deeply to me: relationships, trust, and community.
I first became a patient when Dr. Jennifer Cripps’ father opened the practice, and over the years, it has felt like a second home. As the torch passed to Dr. Jennifer Cripps and Dr. David Negin, the culture of care and connection has only grown stronger. Here, patients aren’t just names on a chart; they are part of a community the entire team genuinely cares about.
Going Above and Beyond
I want to take a moment to recognize Dr. David Negin, whose recent act of kindness touched me deeply. While I won’t go into details, his care and generosity at a time when I needed it most reminded me of the power of true connection—even in business. Dr. Negin went above and beyond to provide me with care that exceeded my expectations, and I’ll truly never forget his thoughtfulness and commitment.

Your generosity and caring attitude transformed a challenging moment into an unforgettable experience; the impact you have on your patients is truly remarkable. ~ Margaret-Ann

Meet Dr. David Negin:
A key leader of the West Carleton Dental Group team, Dr. Negin is a Board-Certified Prosthodontist with specialized training that distinguishes him from general dentists, especially in Ottawa, where prosthodontists are a rare find.
Originally from Long Island, New York, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and completed graduate studies in Biology at Hofstra University. He then attended New York University College of Dentistry, where he gained extensive experience through externships in general residency and oral surgery. After earning his DDS, Dr. Negin completed a General Practice Residency at Peninsula Hospital, where he received an award for his achievements in implant dentistry.
In 2003, Dr. Negin was selected as one of three residents in the prestigious Prosthodontic Residency Program at the University of Pittsburgh. He completed the three-year program and achieved Fellow and Diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Prior to moving to Ottawa, Dr. Negin practiced in New York and New Jersey and served as an attending physician at Peninsula Hospital.
He is now an active member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and several other dental associations, continuing to contribute to both local and national dental communities.
With years of experience in New York, New Jersey, and Ottawa, Dr. Negin, alongside Dr. Jennifer Cripps, leads the practice with a focus on personalized, high-quality care for every patient.
Of course, he’s not alone in this. The entire West Carleton Dental Group team embodies the same warmth, professionalism, and dedication. I’m especially grateful for Rhonda Pianosi, my go-to hygienist, who always puts me at ease and makes every visit feel comfortable and stress-free. And the smiles from Victoria Nyguen (who also helped with photography), and the rest of the reception team—including Odessa Wegner—are a reminder of just how much they care about their patients.
